Nabeel Aslam was the beloved junior brother of Sana Aslam. The heartbroken sister has this to say about the tragic incident: “Nabeel — it was, and is, and will forever be, the greatest honor of my lifetime to be your big sister. my mind is racing with infinite memories of your ginormous tender heart, your love for friendship and self-expression and adventure, and your courage and authenticity in always seeking to be the truest and honest version of yourself. in return, you were always accepting of others for being their truest selves too. i loved that about you so, so much ❤️ you made a friend (or 10) every place you’d go. you were always taking yourself to new heights, literally and metaphorically”

“People always joked that we are opposites of each other. you got all the good looks, athletics, musical talents, charisma, carefree freedom from societal expectations, and shararti-ness 🙃 and i got all the desire to just get good grades haha. but what maybe not everyone knows is at the deepest level, we were soulmates. you were my fellow creative, seeker of wisdom, ponderer of existential questions, writer, wear your heart on your sleever, humanist, adventurer, and true lover of people and relation. the only difference is that you were always these things in the boldest ways i can only aspire to be one day. and i will always carry the constant inspiration i got from you in my heart.”
