Dr. Mark Opperman CVPM Director Of Veterinary Practice Management has died, VHMA mourns

Dr. Mark Opperman CVPM Death: Certified Veterinary Practice Manager VHMA (CVPM) is mourning the president and founder of Veterinary Management Consultation Inc., who passed away unexpectedly this week. The Hospital Management Editor Mark Opperman was a certified veterinary practice manager and owner of VMC Inc., a veterinary consulting firm based in Evergreen Colorado.

Mark Opperman died suddenly following a medical emergency on Monday, 23 July 2024. Through his firm, Dr. Mark consulted with more than 800 veterinary hospitals throughout North America, assisting in associate hiring, partnership formation, exit strategies, employee issues, profitability, efficiency, and more. He lectured worldwide at meetings such as the Fetch dvm360 conference (formerly CVC), the North American Veterinary Conference, the World Small Animal Veterinary Conference, the Denmark Annual Congress, and the London Veterinary Forum.

The South African community is mourning the tragic death of their own renowned Veterinary Doctor. Opperman founded the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and served as president until 1993. Through his VMC School of Veterinary Practice Management, he trained more than 250 practice managers.
