Rick McKnight Columbus GA Death: The St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Columbus, Georgia is mourning the demise of a longtime worshipper, staff, and Organist-Choirmaster who passed away unexpectedly. Rick McKnight was a father, grandfather, husband, and businessman. Rick McKnight died peacefully this week. He was 71.
Who Was Rick McKnight?
Rick McKnight was a resident and native of Columbus, Georgia. He was a graduate of Auburn University and the former Director of Education at RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. He was the beloved husband of Marquette McRae McKnight.
Rick was a passionate Arts education activist, a church organist and choir director, a people-lover, grandfather, and husband. The entire Columbus, GA residents have requested special prayers for the cheerful man whom they all described as a loving person who treated everyone equally.
According to Georgian resident, Melinda Weeks Newton, “The most remarkable thing about Rick was how he made everyone feel so incredibly special with his warm greetings and genuine kindness. He was truly a treasure, and we have lost a wonderful soul.”
