Chadwell Heath Accident: Cyclist hurt in serious crash as major road closed and London buses diverted

Chadwell Heath Accident Investigations: A cyclist was wounded in a ‘fall’ in East London this afternoon. The High Road in Chadwell Heath was closed in both directions between Station Road and St Chad’s Road. It also diverted the following London buses: 62, 86, 173, and 362. The extent of their injuries is unknown. Drivers and bus passengers experienced delays while emergency services responded. The accident scene has now been closed.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at about 12.30 pm on Thursday, August 1, to reports of an injured cyclist on High Road in Chadwell Heath. Emergency services attended. “The rider has been taken to hospital. We await an update on his condition. Road closures are in place.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.20 pm on Thursday, August 1, to reports of a fall in High Road, Chadwell Heath. We sent an ambulance crew to the scene, which arrived in three minutes. Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”
