Andy Jasner Philadelphia Death: Popular Philadelphia freelance sportswriter and son of world-renowned great Sixers reporter Phil Jasner has passed away. Andy Jasner died unexpectedly this week after a medical emergency.

Who Was Andy Jasner?

Andy Jasner was a dedicated father of three beautiful girls and a caring husband. He was the son of the late Phil Jasner (a long-time Sixers writer for the Daily News who died on December 3, 2010, after a battle with stomach cancer.)

Andy was a freelance writer based in Philadelphia and Wallingford, Pennsylvania. He was originally from Havertown, Pennsylvania. Jasner graduated from Syracuse University in 1991 and has worked for newspapers, magazines, and websites including CBS SportsLine and ESPN.com. Jasner has written two books including The Baltimore Ravens and Phil Jasner.

What Happened To Andy Jasner?

According to reports, the dedicated father of three was pronounced dead after a medical emergency last night. Andy Jasner was an experienced NBA reporter. He joined multiple podcasts to discuss the last dance. Jasner covered the 1996-98 NBA Finals and had an inside look at those teams.
