Malome Vector Car Accident: The South African communities are mourning the tragic death of a famous Afropop artist who passed away in a car accident Wednesday afternoon. According to law enforcement agencies, three young men were killed in a crash this afternoon. Malome Vector passed away after being flung out of the crashed vehicle.
The victims were identified locally as the Roma, Lesotho-raised singer Malome Vector, and his two friends Ntate Stunna, and Wave Ryder. The two others were upcoming artists. According to South Africa Police, the three victims were pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
Who Was Malome Vector?
Born Bokang Moleli, Malome Vector, is a Lesotho-born rap artist. He started writing songs at the age of 14, picking up music production later. With an infusion of Afropop elements, Malome Vector started releasing his music independently. Malome Vector is a new-school Sesotho rap artist born and raised in Roma, Lesotho. He spent his early childhood listening to the traditional Sesotho sounds of artists such as Famole and the late Khosi Mosotho Chakela. He started making and releasing his songs in the early 2010s and garnered support in Lesotho’s fledging music scene for his Afropop-inflected music. He was signed into the Ambitiouz Records and moved to Hohurd in 2020.
