MAPCO Shooting: Lockdown, police investigations near Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN

MAPCO Shooting Investigations: Law enforcement agencies in Nashville, TN are investigating a shooting incident at the MAPCO Gas Station on Thursday. According to reports, the Nashville Police Department and Nashville Fire Department are responding to the scene of a shooting at the gas station located on 21st Avenue South, on Thursday, 25 July 2024.

The school released a notice informing students about the ongoing incident and also urging everyone to stay away from the 21st avenue. Law enforcement agencies did not confirm if anyone was hurt following the incident. This is a developing story.

Authorities reported that on Wednesday night, a man was probably shot near Old Hickory Boulevard in West Nashville. The victim went to the Mapco Express, located at 481 Old Hickory Blvd., in his automobile. The police arrived at 7:53 p.m.

They brought the victim to a nearby hospital. According to the police, the incident did not take place at the market. The police have no information on the suspects. An inquiry is underway into the shooting.
