Ben Whiteman missing Durham man died in Newcastle upon Tyne suicide, girlfriend Beth Moi mourns
Ben Whiteman Missing Durham: A Durham family is mourning the tragic death of their son who passed away unexpectedly last month. 22-year-old Ben Whiteman died on 3rd June 2024, from an apparent suicide. Ben was found dead after jumping in front of an incoming train following.
Among people mourning the gym lover, is his girlfriend Beth Moir, who described Ben as a loving partner who enjoyed life. “Hi, my name is Beth Moir, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart. I am raising funds for the If U Care Share Foundation in memory of my beloved boyfriend, Ben Robert Whiteman, who tragically took his own life on 3rd June 2024, aged 22.”
According to Beth, Ben was a wonderful person who brought joy and love into the lives of everyone he met. He struggled silently with his mental health, and his sudden loss has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. On Saturday 15th June, in his memory, I and 25 friends will be walking up Cat Bells, a fell in the Lake District. This walk holds a special significance for me because, in April, Ben and I climbed Cat Bells together.
The family has created a GoFundMe Account to help raise funds for his family. “The If U Care Share Foundation is a charity dedicated to the prevention, intervention, and support of those bereaved by suicide. As well as supporting people at a time of need, the Foundation offers training and workshops based around mental health and suicide prevention.
