Patricia Smiley Chicago IL Death: The Chicago and Indiana, IN communities are mourning the tragic death of a beloved mother and wife who passed away unexpectedly last week. Patricia Amis Smiley was a dedicated wife and a caring mother, sadly Patty lost her battle to depression and mental illness. The Indiana University graduate died leaving her family devastated.

On Tuesday, last week, Patricia Patty Smiley tragically ended it all by committing suicide at her home. She was found dead by a loved one. Patty battled mental illness (depression) for a while. She was a Yoga teacher at Pattyshack – a Sport and recreation. Following the unpleasant incident, her brother-in-law Thomas Smiley Sr. wrote’.

“Our daughter in law patty smiley passed on July 27 2024 as a family we are devastated, I and my wife loved her as our own, I’m going to miss her calling me Dad or Big Tom, but I will use the words of my son Tom smiley to express our feelings. As I write this, my eyes are full of tears and our hearts are full of sadness. There is no playbook when you lose someone close to you. A loss of any kind hurts but when it is sudden and unexpected, it seems to catapult that hurt to heights unimagined.”

Patricia “Patty” Amis Smiley was a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, a dog mom, and a mother to two beautiful children Blake and Naomi. Patty would always greet you with a massive smile and hug. Her kindness could be felt from a million miles away from anyone within that reach. She was the best mother to her two little girls, Blake and Naomi, who did not get a chance to fully know how beautiful she truly was inside and out. She was also the best wife for my brother, Ashton, who loves her to the depths of his soul and never envisioned a life without his rock, his glue, and most importantly…the love of his life.
