Stratford Shooting Investigations: Stratford Police is investigating an incident after a suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound Thursday night. According to reports, two victims are currently fighting for their lives at the hospital following a shooting in Stratford, Ontario on Thursday night.
Stratford Police responded to the report of multiple shots fired at an apartment on Bradshaw Drive. The department urged residents to avoid the scene following a police investigation. “We have an active investigation ongoing in the area of Bradshaw & McCarthy. Please avoid this area.”
What Happened In Stratford?
According to law enforcement agencies, two suspects identified only as a male and female were taken into custody following an altercation that turned deadly on Thursday night. The incident happened around 11:35 P.M., and 12:30 A. M. According to reports, a group of individuals were involved in an altercation, one of the suspects brandished a shotgun and shot two people. The suspect then turned the weapon on himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two victims were transported to an area hospital, one was listed in critical condition and the other in stable condition. Stratfor Police announced that the incident is an active investigation. A local who spoke to Wagon United News said the deceased suspect and the arrested female were a couple and had been troubling the sanity of the locals in the area. Law enforcement agencies have not revealed the identity of those involved in the incident.
