Barclays raised interest rate fee-free two-year fixed-rate loan with a loan-to-value ratio of 90% from 5.43% to 5.66%.

Barclays has raised interest rates for both new and current borrowers seeking a new agreement. However, it has also decreased the availability of two tracker options for borrowers in the buy-to-let market. The bank has raised its interest rate for a two-year fixed home purchase loan (for borrowers with a 40% deposit) from 4.39% to 4.54%. The price is £899. The fee-free equivalent offer increases to 4.68% from 4.58%. Barclays has raised the interest rate on their fee-free two-year fixed-rate loan with a loan-to-value ratio of 90% from 5.43% to 5.66%.

The interest rate on its two-year Buy-to-Let (BTL) tracker mortgage has been reduced from 6.48% to 6.2% for borrowers with a Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio of 60%. The price is £1.295. The interest rate for the identical offer with a loan-to-value ratio (LTV) of 75% has been reduced from 6.5% to 6.25%. Virgin Money is increasing the price of certain fixed-rate packages by a maximum of 0.18 percentage points while decreasing selected two and five-year residential remortgage rates. The rate adjustments will take effect starting tomorrow, March 6th.

The lender will raise the fixed rate of their five-year remortgage Fix and Switch product, available through brokers, by 0.06 percentage points to 4.85% for borrowers with a loan-to-value ratio of 70%. The cost amounts to £1,495. The fee-free equivalent offer will be raised by 0.07 percentage points to 5.16%. The interest rates on two and five-year fixed-rate mortgages of £1 million or more will rise by 0.23 percentage points (at a loan-to-value ratio of 75%). The rates will begin at 4.79% and there will be a fee of £1,995.

NatWest has raised the interest rates for some two and five-year fixed deals by 0.1 percentage point for existing customers seeking a new agreement. One of the new rates offered for product transfer offers is a five-year fixed rate at 4.34% (60% loan-to-value) with a £995 fee. The rate has increased from 4.24%. The duration of the agreement has been increased to two years, with the interest rate now starting at 4.69% (formerly 4.59%). Clydesdale Bank has raised interest rates for both new and existing borrowers. Residential transactions have seen an increase of up to 0.29 percentage points, while buy-to-let contracts have experienced an increase of up to 0.45 percentage points.
