Funeral arrangements for Cinthya Zamora’s husband, Gavin Dasaur, of Indianapolis killed in road-rage shooting as driver faces no charges

Gavin Dasaur Death: Indianapolis, Indiana resident Cinthia Zamora is mourning the tragic death of her newly wedded husband who was killed in a road-rage shooting just a few weeks after their wedding. Gavin Dasaur, an Indianapolis driver, was fatally shot after approaching a truck driver with a gun and threatening him during a road rage incident. Dasaur died from a gunshot to the head.

Other drivers are expected to face no prosecution for acting in self-defense. A 29-year-old man was killed in Indianapolis during a road rage incident after approaching a vehicle with a gun and screaming at the driver, who then shot him. Prosecutors have declined to charge the other driver, citing self-defense.

Footage from the phone of another driver who witnessed the incident on Tuesday evening shows Gavin Dasaur, 29, approaching a white Chevy pickup truck and attempting to attack the driver while holding a weapon.

The driver tries to slap the punch away, but Dasaur moves the weapon to his left hand, berates the driver, and repeatedly points at them with his right hand. Suddenly, the unseen driver of the pickup truck points their gun at Dasaur and fires repeatedly as the 29-year-old collapses to the ground.

Dasaur immediately drops to the ground. Throughout the seven-second confrontation, the shooter never got out of his vehicle. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of South Emerson Avenue and Thompson Road. Witnesses informed police that the shooting resulted from a road rage incident between the Chevy driver and Dasaur, who was driving a black Honda, according to WTHR.

‘He was a hardworking man that always went out of his way to help anyone and wanted to give the world to me and his family,’ she told the local outlet. ‘He did not deserve to die this way. It’s such a tragedy that my husband was murdered in cold blood,’ Cinthya Zamora.

The pickup truck driver was first imprisoned but then released when authorities determined that he may have been acting in self-defense. ‘The law states you can use reasonable force when you reasonably believe it is required to prevent serious bodily harm to yourself or another,’ attorney John Tompkins told FOX59.

It was unclear whether she had viewed the video of the incident. It’s worth noting that the couple had just been married for two weeks, according to WRTV. The IMPD stated the investigation into the gunshot and alleged road rage incident is still ongoing.

Gavin Dasaur obituary and funeral arrangements has been released.
